Project Details
Working as a Local Consultant for 2014 Prizker Prize Laureate Shigeru Ban.
A prototype of the Nepal House Project was built in Kathmandu on October 19, 2016. The technology of houses would be provided to the communities affected by the earthquake. A technique that uses combination of wooden frames and brick-embedded walls is used in the prototype building. Such technique of assembly of wooden frame and walls is commonly seen throughout Nepal and hence replicated in the project.
